Next week is conference week. Conferences are on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00. Please make sure to sign up if you haven't done so already. Looking forward to seeing all of you next week!
Tomorrow is our Valentine’s Party. With our Friday schedule being full in the afternoon, we are going to have a shorter, more laid back party from 2:00-2:30. We will be playing a class Valentine bingo game and eating some food. You are more than welcome to join us if you would like to, but wanted to let you know that it will be shorter due to our schedule.
I hope you enjoyed your long weekend. Hopefully we will be done with the bitter cold weather for a while. Mrs. Rycus and I will be deciding in the next week or so when we will be going to the Michigan Historical Museum. I will let you know as soon as I know anything. Thanks for your understand and sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
Don't forget there is no school on Monday for Martin Luther King Day. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break. I just wanted to let you know that we are starting a new program called REWARDS, which is working with words and spelling combinations. Since we are implementing this program, we will not be having regular spelling tests for the rest of the school year. I may send home a couple words a week I want them to work on based on what we are working on in REWARDS, but there won't be any formal tests. If you have any questions just let me know.
Last Friday I sent home a sheet in the Friday folder letting you know items that need to be brought in to make our gingerbread houses for the holiday party. Please make sure you get those items in by next Thursday, December 19th. Thanks for your cooperation!
On Tuesday, November 20th, our class is going to have a Read-In. This is a time when we all sack out on comfy blankets, cozy up with a special stuffed animal, and READ for the joy of reading. Please send in the following supplies for our Read-In:
·blanket or sleeping bag, pillow
·a special stuffed animal or doll
These items must be able to fit into a garbage bag (please don’t try to stuff blankets into your child’s backpack!) and your child must be able to carry the items and have them fit on the bus.
Thank you to the parents who have sent in snacks for our classroom. Your donation is greatly appreciated.
We will not be having a spelling list next or the week after week due to no school on Friday and then Thanksgiving break the following week. I never giving a spelling list if we don't have school on Friday. Thanks for understanding and enjoy the break :)
