We will not be having a spelling list next or the week after week due to no school on Friday and then Thanksgiving break the following week. I never giving a spelling list if we don't have school on Friday. Thanks for understanding and enjoy the break :)

I just wanted to send out a thank you to all the parents who helped with our Halloween party and to Tammy Fletcher for planning the party with our party planning committee. I couldn't have done it without you! Thanks again.
We are in need of some more Graham crackers for our classroom. If you are willing and able to donate a box or two, it would be greatly appreciated.
In the Friday folder last week you should have received a sheet giving you directions on how to sign up for conferences online. This is a new procedure this year and is very simple to use. I have had a few parents sign up already, but wanted to remind you to sign up as soon as possible since conferences are only 2 weeks away. Thank you for your cooperation and I am looking forward to seeing you all in a couple of weeks.
Tomorrow is our Halloween party at school. We have an all school parade beginning at 2:00 with our classroom party immediately following. I wanted to give a reminder to please send your son/daughter’s costume to school in the morning. They will be keeping it in their locker until we put them on around 1:30 in the afternoon. Please remember to not send in any parts of a Halloween costume that are not appropriate for school (weapons, blood, etc.). If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for your cooperation. Hope to see you tomorrow afternoon!
Today we took unit 2 math test. I feel like we were really prepared for this test and am looking forward to seeing the scores. I wanted to let you know that I hang on to the math tests until conference time so I can show you what we have been doing in math as well as how your child is doing on the tests. I do talk to each child to let them know their grade and let them see what they missed, so you can ask them how they did on the test. If you have questions, please let me know.
Please make sure your child is reading 20 minutes on a daily basis and filling out their reading log. Usually one log takes about a month to fill in and then it gets turned in to get a new log. I keep track of these as they come in so I know who is doing their daily reading homework. Reading at home, along with the reading lessons and reading we do in school, are the best tools to help your child become an excellent reader. Thanks for all your support.
Just a reminder that there is no school tomorrow, October 11th, due to professional development for teachers. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Just to let you know we are taking the reading portion of the MEAP test today, October 8th and tomorrow, October 9th. Next Tuesday, October 15th will be the math portion. We will not be having math homework the next two nights due to the MEAP test. If you have any questions let me know.
There will not be a spelling list next week due to not having school next Friday (Teacher's Professional Development day). Just wanted to give you a heads up on the change for next week.
